The Self Healing Project
The Self-healing project, whose planned duration is between 4 and 6 years, is a multidisciplinary project composed of a project group of 22 researchers and a scientific committee of 14 researchers, from different countries: Switzerland, New Zealand, Poland, Spain and France.
The disciplines represented are: Medicine, Pharmacy, Neurosciences, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Chemistry, Physics, Computer Science, Anthropology, Humanities, Philosophy, English Literature, Information and Communication Science, Sociology, Marketing, Social Psychology and Science Sport.
The objectives of the project are to: 1) Conduct multidisciplinary research on the subject of self-healing, 2) Define the concept of self-healing, 3) Participate in a reflection around ethically acceptable medical practices, 4) Build training modules on this concept.
This project does not aim to promote unconventional practices and/or non-drug interventions. Its unique challenge is to better understand and define the scientific concept of self-healing, in order to determine a common framework while pointing out the existing limits to the notion.
